EVANSVILLE SLEW DEAD AT 20
Diamond G Ranch's Evansville Slew was humanely euthanized on January 27 following complications related to colic. Upon his purchase by the farm in 2006 he was installed as, and remained, one of Oklahoma's top sires.

Foaled in 1992, Evansville Slew was by Slew City Slew out of Shape Shifter by Fappiano. Running in the midwest, he was a two-year-old standout while winning the Grade II Arlington-Washington Futurity as well as the Remington Park Futurity. An earner of $338,040, Evansville Slew won five of his seven career outings.

His career as a sire was impressive as well.  Among his top runners are March Magic (dam: Bay Magic by Ack Ack), a multiple graded stakes winner with earnings of $638K+; stakes-placed Foxie's Boy (dam: Foxie by Foxhound), an earner of more than $464K; and Cowboy Stuff (dam: Deanne's Lady by Dancing Chant), a multiple stakes winner with $428K in the bank.

To date, sons and daughters of Evansville Slew have earned $18.3 million on the racetrack.

EVANSVILLE SLEW PROMINANT ON RP CLOSING NIGHT
With a winner and a second place finisher in stakes events on Remington Park’s
2011 closing night, EVANSVILLE SLEW continued to show his prominance
as a sire in Oklahoma racing. EVANSVILLE STORM was victorious in the
$50K Jim Thorpe Stakes on December 10. Bred in Oklahoma by Sassy S Stables,
the gelding is by EVANSVILLE SLEW out of the Stormy Atlantic mare Sophia Storm.
With his $30K payday, EVANSVILLE STORM now has $91,707 in the bank from
eight lifetime starts. The previous event at the Oklahoma City track saw
WINNER TO BE (EVANSVILLE SLEW - Unome's Wild Again by Unome) run second
in the $50,000 Useeit Stakes. Bred, owned and trained by C. R. Trout,
the 3-year-old filly deposited $10K for the effort, bringing her 5-race career
earnings to $60,105.  Useeit winner Lesley Be Judged was bred
by Diamond G Ranch and named after farm manger Don Wait’s daughter.

HUGE WEEKEND FOR EVANSVILLE SLEW
Two daughters and a son of Diamond G Ranch stallion EVANSVILLE SLEW
made their mark on Prairie Meadows on August 5th & 6th. LITTLE SLEW MOON
won his second career race in wire-to-wire fashion by 13 & 1/4 lengths.
The Iowa bred gelding is out of Moonlight Wave by Wavering Monarch.
The following day HERE COMES POLLY was victorious in the six furlong Sorority
Stakes at the Altoona, Iowa track. The daughter of Evansville Slew and the
Allen’s Prospect mare High Speed Ali, collected $51K plus for the tally.
Later on the same card, L D’s SHES SPECIAL (Evansville Slew-Wise Reasoning,
by Metropolis) took the $99K Donna Reed Stakes in an upset. The
mare picked up a check for $59K for her effort in the mile & 70 yard event.

LUCKY DAZ VICTORIOUS IN IOWA SORORITY STAKES

Prairie Meadows was the scene on August 7 for LUCKY DAZ’s tally in the $86,500
Iowa Sorority Stakes. The daughter of LUCKY LIONEL and the Dazzling Falls mare
Lovethatdazzle covered the six panels in 1:11.18 while collecting a check for
$51,900. The freshman now has total career earnings of $80,630.

ST. MAXIMUS GATO RUNS THIRD IN GR II INDIANA DERBY

With a trip that went five-wide at one point, ST. MAXIMUS GATO,
a son of TACTICAL CAT-Religious Colony, by Cherokee Colony, finished
third in the $510,900 Indiana Derby on October 2. The grade two event
was won by Preakness and Haskell Stakes winner Lookin At Lucky.

IN WIRE-TO-WIRE PERFORMANCE

on December 27 to prevail by 2 & 3/4 lengths at the wire. The four-year-old

LUCKY CHUCK BECOMES 30th STAKES WINNER
FOR EVANSVILLE SLEW

Hoosier Park was the scene on October 11, when LUCKY CHUCK took the $70,000
Indiana Futurity while becoming EVANSVILLE SLEW’s 30th stakes winner!
Owned & bred by Jim Skaggs’ Spade Stable, LUCKY CHUCK is out
of the Count the Time mare Timely Rhythm. He now has five wins from
seven outings and a bankroll of $338,040.

ONCE AGAIN, IT’S WISHFUL TOMCAT!

IEAH STABLES’ WISHFUL TOMCAT continued his winning ways with
a tally in the $67,000 Ed Fratello Stakes at Belmont on June 27. The son
of TACTICAL CAT, who stands at Diamond G Ranch, took the lead in the stretch
and prevailed at the wire by 1 1/2 lengths. WISHFUL TOMCAT collected
a check for $40,050, pushing his career earnings to $430,654.

SEAPORT MAC STAKES LATEST SCENE FOR WISHFUL TOMCAT

Making his crosstown move to Belmont a successful one, TACTICAL CAT’s
son WISHFUL TOMCAT won the Seaport Mac Stakes on May 22, going
wire-to-wire and winning by over six lengths. Owned by IEAH Stables, et al,
WISHFUL TOMCAT was bred in New York by Anthony Grey.
The four-year-old now has $380,604 in lifetime earnings.

LENGTHY GALLANT MAN HANDICAP VICTOR IS
27th STAKES WINNER FOR EVANSVILLE SLEW

Robert Alexander’s KIZZY’S CHAOS won the $100,000 Gallant Man Handicap
at Hollywood Park on May 17 and became the 27th stakes winner to be
sired by Evansville Slew. He set a track record in the process as well,
2:43.48 for the one and 5/8 miles. Out of the Woodman mare
Willow Woodman, KIZZY’S CHAOS was bred in Florida by Fred Pace.
The four-year-old colt has a record of 4-2-1 from
10 outings and $146,440 in career earnings.

WISHFUL TOMCAT, SON OF TACTICAL CAT TAKES KINGS POINT HANDICAP

Taking the lead early in the April 26 Kings Point at Aqueduct, Wishful Tomcat
set the pace throughout the event to win by 3/4 of a length. Final time for the
nine furlongs was 1:48.96. A son of Tactical Cat and the Lord At War (ARG)
mare Holy Wish, Wishful Tomcat earned $41,925 for the victory. This was
Wishful Tomcat’s second start of 2009, after running third in the Grade II
San Fernando Stakes at Santa Anita on January 17. The four-year-old
now has $340,434 in lifetime earnings.

SON OF LUCKY LIONEL, BENNY THE BULL
TAKES ECLIPSE AWARD AS CHAMPION SPRINTER

Undefeated in four 2008 outings, Benny The Bull was retired from racing in July, but on
the strength of those victories, the son of Lucky Lionel received the Eclipse Award as
Champion Male Sprinter for the year. Benny The Bull is out of Comet Cat by Birdonthewire.
Congratulations to owners IEAH Stables, Andrew Cohen and Greg James, as well as
trainer Rick Dutrow.

SON OF TACTICAL CAT WINS G3 DISCOVERY HANDICAP

Aqueduct was the scene for WISHFUL TOMCAT’s latest victory in the 1 & 1/8 mile Grade Three
Discovery Handicap on November 22. After breaking second, the three-year-old son of
TACTICAL CAT and the Lord at War (Arg) mare Holy Wish, quickly gained and never
relinquished the lead to prevail by 1 & 3/4 lengths. He completed the nine furlongs in 1:53.28.
The win was worth $66,060 which brought WISHFUL TOMCAT’s lifetime earnings to $280,549.

TACTICAL CAT FILLY BRINGS #2 PRICE AT OK CITY YEARLING SALE

A daughter of Tactical Cat and the Rubiano mare Musetta brought the second highest
price at the 2008 Oklahoma City Summer Thoroughbred Yearling Sale on August 23.
Paying $30,000 for the gray filly (Hip #77) was State Senator Richard LeBlance, who
intends to point the Oklahoma-bred to Oklahoma Classics.

Tactical Cat was recently acquired by Diamond G Ranch and will stand the 2009 season
at the Edmond, Oklahoma facility.
